I think it's important to get what I call "latitude" within a session.  By latitude I mean the outer parameters of the characters you can play should be hinted at in a way that makes the casting people think they thought of it themselves.  A fellow might come to me who can play a young City trader, as easily as he might play a hoodied street-lad.  So we craft the looks within the session (subtly) in those directions.  That crafting comes not only from hair, make-up, wardrobe, lighting, choice of background, or colour versus black & white; it also has a lot to do with the acting you'll do during the session.  I like to come up with simple, easily actable scenarios that you can focus on (internally) during the session.  It helps to give you something to do.  So you're the active one, the one doing the looking during the session, instead of feeling like everyone is looking at you.  Hopefully it's fun, too!

I shoot at my studio in Hackney near Hackney Downs park.  A session lasts around 5 hours, and includes hair & make up, and careful wardrobe selection.  Around 10 business days later I’ll send an email containing a link to your digital gallery of the best 500 or so shots from the session. You’ll have the ability to make a “Favourites” gallery and to share this (for example, with your agent.) Two fully processed and Photoshopped images are included in the session fee.  For each image you'll receive two files: high-res for printing (labelled HR) and a smaller email-online version (labelled EO.) These first two images will arrive via WeTransfer, about 10 business days after you email me with your selected frame numbers.  Additional images are £45 each.  A session is £550 for women.  And £500 for men. (I charge men less because Make-up/Hair takes an hour less.) These session fees are in total, with no additional VAT on top.  To book your session, I'll ask you to transfer a £150 deposit.  The remaining balance is due via bank transfer, either the day before or the day of your session.

Once we've scheduled you in, I'll send a detailed email with specific information regarding wardrobe and styling, as well as directions to the studio.  I look forward to hearing from you!
